2026 ICCAC Spring Preview | Women's Golf
Last season was the first year NJCAA women's golf competed in two separate divisions. From the ICCAC, Indian Hills and Iowa Western both made it to the national tournament, and four of the six Division II teams did as well.
In Division I, Indian Hills is ranked No. 10 (on Clippd) heading into the season after placing 14th at the national tournament in 2025. The Warriors are led by returners Joska Nelis and Poppy Norcott, who helped the team significantly in 2025. Iowa Western, No. 17, enters the season coming off a Midwest District championship and is led by All-American Olivia Holyoak-Church. Both teams will be looking for national tournament spots, competing to be the top team in their district.
In Division II, DMACC won the inaugural North Plains District title in 2025, with Iowa Central finishing as the runner-up.
Iowa Central enters this season as the coaches' poll preseason favorite and is ranked No. 11 in the NJCAA. The Tritons are entirely composed of newcomers after the team placed third at the national tournament in 2025 -- which also included the individual champion, Ivanna Becerra-Diaz.
DMACC is second in the preseason poll by a single point. The Bears won the district last year and placed seventh at the national tournament in 2025. DMACC enters the year ranked No. 9 and is coming off a strong fall season, ready to compete in the spring.
NIACC and Hawkeye earned the third and fourth spots. NIACC is ranked No. 15 and will be led by the only returning All-American in the conference, Meghan DeLong, who is ready to go for the spring after missing much of the fall due to injury. Hawkeye has a mix of returners and newcomers who will work to improve at every meet as they compete with the top teams in the conference.
Iowa Lakes and Southeastern round out the conference teams. Iowa Lakes faces challenges this season with the loss of its top golfers from last season, but it does return experienced golfers. Southeastern has a competitive roster this season and is looking to compete as a team at the district championship.
